The Shelf
Just like in Petz 2, there is a small shelf which is basically the most important thing for using the program. you do everything but play with your petz on the shelf. The shelf in Petz 3, however, is slightly different from the Petz 2 one, to fit the needs of Petz 3. The Petz 3 shelf comes with you everywhere you go, except the adoption center. This means you can bring out your petz in the toy closet! To the right is a picture of the shelf explaining what each thing does.
The most important thing on the shelf is the "Go To" button which takes you to all the places you can go. To the left is a picture of the shelf with the Go To Menu opened. As you can see There are many places to go, you can even go back to the playpen if you wish (it makes a good gym type place), or have petz romp out on your desktop! As you download more areas, they will appear in the Go To Menu.
The Petz
The Petz in Petz 3 look a lot like the petz in Petz2. However, Petz 3 petz are still different from Petz 2, the main difference now is the petz have gender now. The petz are born/adopted with a gender, so if you find the perfect kitten in the adoption center, but it's a boy, and you need a girl, to bad, you can't change the gender! You tell gender and species by the little symbol next to the name on the "pick a pet" tag (on the shelf). the little symbol is in the shape of the petz species, and
